  • Digital photo organizing is meant for both individuals and businesses who can’t find the photos they want when they want them. Perhaps these photos are all in one place but are unorganized, or perhaps they are in many places such as hard drives, phones, flash drives, CDs/DVDs, cloud services such as Shutterfly, Google photos, Facebook, or some combination. If they are spread out all over the place, they are hard to find and enjoy.

    Individuals: Digital photo organizing sessions are for you if you can’t find that photo you are looking for at the precise time you want and/or need it. You have multiple copies of photos taking up space on your computer. The thought of trying to tackle your photos fills you with anxiety. You want to be able to access all of your photos right on your phone. You want to be able to share your photos with friends and family. You want your photos to be part of your legacy for future generations.

    Businesses: Your business has a big presentation to make for a client but you can’t find the photos you need to knock your presentation out of the park. You need photos of past jobs or services but you would need to plow through thousands or tens of thousands of photos to find the right ones because they are all named IMG_1032.JPG or Screenshot 2019-04-01.png. You can’t find that batch of photos that you spent hours working on to optimize for your website.

  • Digital photo organizing sessions differ depending on where your photos and videos currently reside, how many you have, and what you want your final cohesive library to look like but the basic steps are the same:

    1. Gather your photos from all of their sources.

    2. Remove the duplicates.

    3. Place your photos and videos into an accessible, searchable, and secure database.

    4. Back up all of your photos using the 3-2-1 method.

    I start with this general framework, but everyone’s photo collection is different and where we go from here is up to you. My goal is to create an accessible, searchable, and secure photo library based on what YOU want.

  • Sure. But will you? Is this a project you would enjoy? Do you have the time to tackle it? Have you started and given up partway through? We have the knowledge, training, and expertise to do this for you so all you need to do is sit back and enjoy. But if you do want to do it yourself, I can be your guide.

  • Chicagoland area: we can come to your house or business, gather copies of your photos from all of your devices, and take them with me.

    Remote/Outside of the Chicago area: we can gather copies of your digital photos remotely via screenshare and cloud transfer services. If you have a very large collection or if you prefer not to do this via screenshare, we can work with you to send me your digital photos on an external hard drive. we will do my magic, create an accessible, searchable database and send a copy of the completed library back to you for safekeeping.

  • Much like building a house, the answer is it depends. Every project is unique, so we start with a thorough assessment of your media and go from there.

    Before we begin we will provide you with an estimate and will keep you updated as the project progresses. If we run into something that will take longer and cost more than expected, we will discuss before we proceed.
