Arrange Wander Focus turns 1!
One year ago today I opened the virtual doors to Arrange Wander Focus. It was a big leap at the time. Could I run a business? Was this a service people would need and want? Would I enjoy it?
One year later and the answer to all three questions: YES YES YES!
I have learned so much over the last year. I have learned and am still learning “all the things” needed to do my job - I hope to always be learning new tricks and techniques to better serve my clients. But the most important thing I have learned is just how incredibly important it is to help people preserve and in many cases rediscover their memories and stories. It is not so much about the physical product I hand back to a client when I am done, but about the peace of mind that their stories are no longer, and will not in the future, be lost. As we and our loved ones grow older, memories fade. The pictures are here to remind us of the happy, sad, silly, remarkable, and unremarkable times that define us and our families.
Over the past year I have seen the joy of rediscovering - sometimes in anticipation of a special event, sometimes after a difficult loss, sometimes to get things in order so as not to leave a mess for others, and sometimes just ticking an item off of a to do list. I have worked closely with and gotten to know so many wonderful people and have enjoyed working hand in hand with them to take control of their family legacy. I have discovered a remarkable set of colleagues in my new profession through The Photo Managers - so kind, open, and helpful with their knowledge. Although much of my work and colleagues are now virtual, I am thankful for the technology that has allowed me to take this huge leap and u-turn from my prior professional life to run with something completely different. I look forward to seeing what 2022 will bring.
To all my past, present, and future clients, thank you for trusting me with your memories.
